It had been a few weeks since we had been able to get out and camp so Olivia and I made a plan to get out somewhere close which landed us in Big Bear. Upon planning this trip out we talked to Jason and Rachel who also had been itching to go do something so we made a plan to meet somewhere off a trail Friday night. Olivia and I ended up getting there before them so we found a good spot and set up while we waited:
The mosquitoes were out in full force so we just hung out in the camper since we couldn’t have a fire due to fire restrictions while we waited for Jason and Rachel to show up which they did around 10pm. By this time the mozzies had subsided so we caught up for a bit before heading to bed. If you don’t know Jason he is a co-owner of RIGd Supply and a good friend you should really check out their new UltraSwing! https://www.rigdsupply.com/
So you may have noticed the bikes that is a rather new thing for me I’ve never ridden mountain bikes till very recently and am absolutely hooked! I grew up riding/racing BMX and riding dirtbikes so it wasn’t a totally new idea to me but that’s what this trip was about really. Jason and I met up with a few other friends to hit the Snow Summit Bike Park while the girls hiked and hung out, we rode all day and were so wiped out that we actually decided to just head home rather than camp another night because I also had a wedding to shoot the next day and would have had to leave at like 5am anyway.
